So, it has probably become apparent to most of you guys out there that i have forsaken LJ, which for the most part i have. It was a forum that was so closely associated with my high school experience that after high school i didn't really feel much need to still update it. But tonight something has happened that brings me back to high school and what it meant to me.
TONIGHT, I MET DR. DREW FROM LOVELINE!
Thats right, i went to a lecture of his in DC and met him in the meet and greet afterwards. It was amazing. I went up to him, shook his hand and said i listened to loveline religiously. To which he replied, "good times."

the real reason i wanted to update though was to inform you/thank you guys that the Pomellos music video online that i told you guys about a few entries ago is now in the number 1 most viewed position on www.myvtv.com!!!!!!! That means out the 720 amateur music videos in myvtv.com's vault our music video has been viewed the most. ROCK ON!!!

So a bird shat on my car today. I see it as a divine sign from above saying that they give me a mandate to be their master.
But more importantly, as WHFS was suddenly flushed down the proverbial toilet of corporate inexplicability it took down my beloved LOVELINE, for anyone who knows me this monumentus. Loveline was one of the only thing that has kept me alive through high school. I needed loveline.
And for anyone who's listened to loveline would find this ironic that this station was replaced by ranchero music. I first became familiar with ranchero music because of a little segment on the show that Adam Corolla woudl play called, "Ace's Ranchero Music Countdown" in which they would take a random Racnhero song and try and guess how long it will be from the beginning before an accordian comes in. The average was 5 seconds. Ranchero music isn't a genre, its a disease.
This is the end of an era. Its kind of sad though that as the high school period of my life comes to close i have to see the death of one of the most important figures in my High school life.
ugh
granted the show is still being broadcast to other cities from LA. just not DC anymore

so the other day i ran into Mrs. Szubin (aka ms. weiner) in the halls and she commented on my newly grown facial hair. The convo went as follows
Miriam: I dunno, how i feel about these sideburns
Andrew: Oh these are beyond sideburns, these are mutton chops
Miriam: Oh believe me i know, i studied the civil war. You could be a 1860s president
Andrew: Hey, it'd be a good job, i wouldn't have to do much.
Miriam: Nice.

so i found a Basia CD in my mom's CD collection, and its shockingly good. Its really jazzy and fun. And super super cheesball.

which is because he last name is: TRZETRZELEWSKA
i'm not kidding, that's here real last name, go ahead, try and pronounce that, you can't, unless your eastern european its impossible.

in keeping with the winter break tradition i started last year i have not bathed or changed my clothes in a number of days. Furthermore, i am pretty sure that the tshirt which have consistently been inhabiting was the same tshirt i clung to last year. So there you go
Though i have changed my underwear and socks, which i more than i can say for myself last year.

so elliot called me today from aspen colorado to tell me that on the Seal CD he supposedly found in his hotel room there was song on that was in 7/8 time which he thought i would like.
First of all the fact that he called from aspen just to tell me to listen to a song was awesome
Second, the fact that he felt the need to tell me the time signiture of the song was super awesome

So i when i got home today i got into bed and took a nap. It lasted for 5 hours. So i really didn't get to start hw until midnight. I plan on going back to bed no later than 3 though. Ultimately it should add up to like 7 hours of sleep, so its all good.
My sleeping patterns have gotten really bizarre this school year. Whatever.

Well tonight was the maiden voyage of the Shaggin' Wagon.
Twas cool, ian, annie, julie w. and i chilled out in the back of my volvo station wagon with the back seats down. we were listening to lynyrd skynyrd and remained fully clothed the entire time (though some suspicious footprints were left on the back window). But now i know of a really cool place to hang out when i gots nothing to do and i'm with people.
All in all it was good times.
